4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies (like web beacons and pixels) to access or store information. These help us:

  • Remember your preferences and settings
  • Understand how you use our services
  • Improve user experience
  • Deliver relevant advertisements

You can configure your browser settings to reject cookies or opt-out through aboutads.info/choices.

5. Third-Party Services

Google Maps Integration

Our service integrates Google Maps APIs. By using this feature, you consent to allow us to obtain or cache your location. You can revoke this consent at any time through your device settings.

Social Media Login

When you use third-party social authentication (Facebook, Google, etc.), we receive profile data from these platforms. We will use the information we receive only for the purposes described in this privacy policy.

AI Providers (optional, bring your own)

AndroidIRCX includes optional AI features. The app does not provide an AI model of its own and does not operate one on your behalf. If you choose to enable them, you supply your own API key for a third-party provider (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or DeepSeek), or point the app at a model server running on your own network.

When you use these features, the text you send — which may include messages written by other people in a channel — is transmitted directly from your device to the provider you configured. We never receive, store or proxy that content. Its handling is governed by the agreement between you and that provider.

These features are off by default. Nothing is sent until you add a provider, give explicit consent in the app, and enable AI for the specific channel concerned. Before anything is transmitted, the app removes IP addresses, IRC hostmasks and e-mail addresses, and replaces nicknames with placeholders. You can withdraw consent at any time, and a master switch stops all AI activity immediately. If you use a model server on your own network, no data leaves your network at all.

Your API key is stored in your device's secure keychain and is excluded from backup exports.

Documentation the assistant reads

The optional in-app assistant can fetch a web page when you ask it something about how the app works, so that it answers from documentation rather than from memory. Only the page address is sent; none of your messages, credentials or personal data go with the request.

The app's own documentation on GitHub and the project's public knowledge base (mempalace-mcp.dbase.in.rs) are available from the start, and you can remove either. Any other site is refused until you allow it, either for one request or by adding it to a list you can review and edit in the app at any time. Addresses on private networks are never fetched at all. We do not receive, log or see any of these requests — they go from your device straight to the site.

The app also ships the project's knowledge base as an optional MCP server, switched off. It is read-only and run by the project. If you turn it on, the assistant sends it search queries about the app so it can look up the answer. Nothing you write in IRC is sent unless the assistant puts it into a query.

Monthly Supporter subscription and the supporters list

If you subscribe as a Monthly Supporter, Google Play handles the payment. We never see your card or payment details. Your device sends us the purchase token that Google issues, and we use it only to confirm with Google that the subscription is active.

You can choose to appear on the in-app supporters list. You decide what is shown: a display name of your choosing, or "Anonymous", together with the emoji you picked and, for Big Monthly Supporters, a short message. The list is shown to everyone who uses the app. We store only what you entered, the purchase token, and the subscription status Google reports. We do not link it to your Google account name, your e-mail address or your IRC identity.

Your entry disappears from the list automatically when the subscription ends. You can change it, or switch to "Anonymous", at any time in the app. We may hide an entry that is offensive. To have your entry deleted, contact us at the address below.

External Websites

Our service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy and security practices and policies of any third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Maximum Retention: We will keep your information for no longer than 2 years past the termination of your account, except when we are legally required to retain it longer.

7. Security Measures

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, please note that no electronic transmission or storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Protection of Minors

We do not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 years of age.

If we learn that we have collected personal information from a user under 18 years of age, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable measures to promptly delete such data from our records.
